Participants in A Running Conversation learn the skills needed to reach personal goals through running, with additional one-on-one coaching.

The Holidays Are Upon Us

This week brings Thanksgiving Day and a time to reflect on all that we have to be grateful for. I realize many media are portraying it as a food frenzy or day of over-indulgence, but runners know that it is a classic day to participate in a road race of some variation, and for this we are grateful.

In Portland, Maine the best option is the 31st Annual Thanksgiving Day Four-Miler. The race is one of the oldest in the state and has been managed by the same director, George Towle, for all 31 years. The race was inducted to the Maine Running Hall of Fame this year for its significant contribution to Maine running.
