Winter RunningWe are based in New England and each year approach the winter with trepidation. Some years see little snow and ice while others bring snowstorm after snowstorm. What are we in for as we head into 2012? How challenging will training become? Thus far, it is mainly green (well, make that brown) and getting increasingly colder. In these parts pond ice is still not ready to skate and even trails have been clear for running. It must be just a matter of time before the white blanket covers the landscape. The key elements of a running program in any season are consistency and having a goal in mind. Look ahead to 2012 and make a goal.
